App Design
For a recent project, I had the opportunity to design the layout for an app idea that I came up with, called GNO (Girls Night Out), a social media and women's safety application. The primary focus of the app was to provide a platform for women to connect, share experiences, and enhance their safety during social outings. The app incorporated essential features such as location sharing services, enabling users to keep their friends informed about their whereabouts in real-time. Additionally, GNO included comprehensive safety information regarding alcohol and drug use, ensuring users had access to important resources and guidelines. To add an engaging and fun element, the "OOTN" (Outfit of the Night) section allowed users to showcase their outfits, fostering a sense of community and self-expression. This section also served a crucial purpose of providing an updated photo of oneself, should any safety concerns arise during the night. The app further prioritized user safety by storing personal information such as age, weight, height, etc., which could be accessed in emergencies to aid authorities. Overall, GNO aimed to empower women by combining social media and safety features in a single, user friendly platform.
